Worried about Penny Auction scams?
Hey Bidders!
Browsing through the web, we’ve noticed the biggest fear about penny auction sites are the scammers. It’s completely understandable! We want to assure you that if you ever have a problem on NailBidder.com, we have excellent customer service including a toll-free customer support staff!
Here are some tips we’ve gathered to help you guys avoid scammers:
- Investigate the site you’re on. Look for an SSL Certificate, usually found on the bottom of the site. “SSL certificates (certs) are used to confirm the identity of a website or server, encrypt data during transmission, and ensure the integrity of transmitted data.” (source) This ensures that the site is legit and won’t run away with your money.
- Look for customer support. Make sure the site you bid on has some type of customer support. Test out the number or chat box to see you could actually get help with questions you may have. Make sure customer support will ACTUALLY help you and not answer questions generically.
- Do your research! Check out what other people are saying about the penny auction site! There are many forums that check different sites to see if they are a gimmick or not. Read their reviews and see what they have to say about particular sites. More often than not, a person will bash talk a site that has scammed them.
- Listen to your gut! If you feel like a site is sketchy, then don’t do it! Look for another site who has had good reviews and stick with them.
As Nailbidder.com launches in the upcoming weeks, we hope we can fulfill all your expectations of what a penny auction site should be! Don’t forget! There’s still time to pre-register to get some FREE bids! Happy Bidding!
