Penny auction fans! Due to many requests and suggestions, NailBidder will be implementing a few changes in our policies:

Effective Monday, June 21, 2010:

- We are going to be adding *MORE* auctions daily! We will average about 10 auctions daily! This way you guys will have more chances to bid on high quality items!!

- All NEW registered bidders on NailBidder will receive 5 FREE bids as a thank you for registering!

- We are also changing our win limit policy. The win limits will now be 4 wins per week (7-day rolling period), and 12 per month (30-day rolling period). The 2 wins per day (24-hour rolling period) will remain the same.

- At NailBidder, we will also be starting a new “featured auction” which will be a really high-end product! Some examples may be iPads, TVs, computers, etc. These featured auction items can only be won by the same bidder once every 20 rolling day period.

As always, thank you all for your suggestions and ideas! Keep them coming! Don’t forget to refer your friends! For every friend you refer, you’ll receive 5 free bids!

Bid Assistants–What are they?!

How’s it going, Bidders?

A lot of penny auction sites have a feature called a “bid assistant”. Different sites may use different terms, but they are generally the same thing. The folks here at Nailbidder.com have also included bid assistants (we call them Nail Clippers & Sledge Hammers) to help you grab great deals on items. Not sure what exactly a bid assistant is? We’re here to help!

As we all know, auctions last for hours or even days! Sometimes we don’t have the luxury to see sit around and wait for the final countdown of an item. This is where bid assistants come in handy. 90% of auctions have been won because of a bid assistant. Here’s how they work:

The Nail Clipper can be set to how many bids you want to use and up to how much you would pay for the auction. It will wait until the last few seconds and begin bidding. If multiple Nail Clippers have been set on the same auction, all of the Nail Clipper bids will take place one at a time, until all but one is exhausted. Each bid will be listed in the bid history. Make sure you set your Nail Clipper with enough bids so that it doesn’t run out before the auction is over!

The Sledge Hammer can also be used when you can’t stick around the computer to see if you’ve won or not. It’s also the same deal as the Nail Clipper: set how many bids you’d like to use and the max you’d like to spend. However, the Sledge Hammer won’t wait until the last few seconds of the auction. The Sledge Hammer can be set to place bids no matter how much time is left on the clock. As long as you have enough bids, the Sledge Hammer will ensure you’ll be the top bidder!

We hope this helps in your bidding adventures!

We’re planning to launch VERY SOON. Have you pre-registered to get some *FREE* bids? If not, visit us at NailBidder.com! To get more exclusive deals, become a Fan & a Follow us!

Worried about Penny Auction scams?

Hey Bidders!

Browsing through the web, we’ve noticed the biggest fear about penny auction sites are the scammers. It’s completely understandable! We want to assure you that if you ever have a problem on NailBidder.com,  we have excellent customer service including a toll-free customer support staff!

Here are some tips we’ve gathered to help you guys avoid scammers:

  1. Investigate the site you’re on. Look for an SSL Certificate, usually found on the bottom of the site. “SSL certificates (certs) are used to confirm the identity of a website or server, encrypt data during transmission, and ensure the integrity of transmitted data.” (source) This ensures that the site is legit and won’t run away with your money.
  2. Look for customer support. Make sure the site you bid on has some type of customer support. Test out the number or chat box to see you could actually get help with questions you may have. Make sure customer support will ACTUALLY help you and not answer questions generically.
  3. Do your research! Check out what other people are saying about the penny auction site! There are many forums that check different sites to see if they are a gimmick or not. Read their reviews and see what they have to say about particular sites. More often than not, a person will bash talk a site that has scammed them.
  4. Listen to your gut! If you feel like a site is sketchy, then don’t do it! Look for another site who has had good reviews and stick with them.

As Nailbidder.com launches in the upcoming weeks, we hope we can fulfill all your expectations of what a penny auction site should be! Don’t forget! There’s still time to pre-register to get some FREE bids! Happy Bidding!
